Breakdown tells the story of a couple who, after high school, hit the road and try their hand at being vanlife influencers. The story and scenes jump through time exploring the hardships and eventual breakdown in their relationship. Our characters are Aidan, who took the only path he saw after graduating and joined his girlfriend Alma. Alma is the driving force on the road as she tries to make both her relationship and career work. But as we’ll see in the story, the road can bring out the worst in people after a time, as we're sure anyone who’s taken a family road trip can affirm.

 

This story is about members of our generation, who had lives disrupted by Covid, the people who don’t understand their place in society and therefore reject it, running away so to speak towards the open road. While it may be a solution for some, like Alma, Aidan feels worse over time as it’s hard to watch your peers succeed when you're in a cramped van.
